Woodworking is one of my hobbies. I like to make things of wood in an environment of peace and quiet. To be able to go out to the shed, and make something with your own bare hands is enjoyable. The good that comes from it is immeasurable. Just the radio on, and a mug-o-tea to reach for occasionally.

This site is about me and the things I enjoy. These pages will reflect a person with perhaps more desire than skill, and an optimism that defies ability.

You will see pictures of some of my woodworking hand tools, both “users” and “yet to be fettled” (in the parlance of the galoot), and projects completed and in progress. You will also see pictures of and read about other things not necessarily related to working with hand tools or wood. And there will be links to other sites that I have found informative, constructive and enjoyable. But as with all things, Rome was not built in a day and that philosophy certainly applies to my doings.
