2 years later after some horrendous gouges and scrapes from sharp rocks and blocks of submerged concrete it still looks good.
Matching paddles made from red pine and purpleheart have also been made.
Paddles were copied from a broken partly submerged beavertail pattern paddle found on launch day
This was a lot of work but worth every bead of sweat.
Total cost was $1200CDN
Cedar came from a wrecking yard for $30
Epoxy and cloth were $800
Interlux varnish was $200 for 3 litres
Hardware and 3/4"plywood for the stations and stem moulds took up the rest.
