SOME HOMEMADE TOOLS

 THIS SMALLER VERSION OF A NORRIS A6 IS ROUGHLY THE SAME SIZE AS  A STANLEY #1 PLANE. IT WAS HAND MADE FROM BRASS, MILD STEEL, AND GONCALO ALVES. THE BLADE IS A2 TOOL STEEL.

Birdseye maple was used for the the infill.


The sole of the plane is stainless steel mig welded to cold rolled steel sides.

This time the infill is a walnut burl and the body is steel.
A rare earth magnet keeps the nose piece on the plane while not in use.
