Snips... ;-)Ga - LOOT- a Claus wades into the Joisey RainYes, I do mean Ga - LOOT a Claus... Thanks Santa, I must have been a good boy this year, Not only did you know I was in the market for a Galootish screwdriver but you send along a North Brothers Yankee #90 - this crispy bugger weighs in at over half a pound and has that great knurl where the shaft meets the handle - And then somehow you knew that I will be tearing apart my kitchen for a remodel this Spring and also send a Disston #4 Compass saw with the heavy plumbers blade in perfect shape - This is a real treasure and will surely be used and used again. And then, to top it off you throw in a pound of blonde and a pound of orange shellac flake, somehow knowing that I'm getting back into cabinet making and my favorite finish is a traditional French polish - not to mention that I get to show this to some of my Normite friends today and explain the value of bug doo - doo. I can't wait to watch their faces when I tell them it's also used as a prescription pill coating. Thanks very much Dan - OOPS, Santa, that was very, very kind of you. I will always be grateful to the Old Tools List and the many Galoots who gave me a great shot in the arm back in '97 by using my products and talking about them. Even though I had used hand tools throughout my life I can honestly say that everything of importance that I know about them I learned here. I wish all of you guys & gals a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, and a safe and healthy New Year. Today should be an interesting day, I'm Catholic, my wife's Jewish and the whole gang is coming here to fight about who makes the best latka's. I do, it's my house, and the name of the song isn't oy'vay Maria ( But it's OK if you want to call it that) Best, Keith De'Grau January 06, 2006 |
